1989: Bruce Rains, an umpire for a little league baseball team, begins to stalk teen Laurisa Anello. He sends her all kinds of gifts like roses, pizzas, magazines, and then he begins sending strange notes. Her also follows her around town. Laurisa and her mother constantly look over their shoulders out of fear.
1991: Bruce Andrew Raines was put on probation of stalking Laurisa Anello.
January 1992: Bruce Raines, age 26, is back in Pinellas County Jail for violating the terms of his probation. He continues to stalk Laurisa and her family. He is living at 4305 78th way N in St. Peterburg at the time of his arrest.
March 4, 1992: A bill that would offer protection to persons who have been harrassed by stalkers is proposed and passed by the Senate. The law would make stalking a 3rd degree felony.
1993: Bruce Raines is arrested again and placed on house arrest.
October 1993: The movie Moment of Truth comes to tv

Tidbits
I am in the process of trying to find out what ever happened to Bruce A. Raines. As far as I know he is still living in the Saint Petersburg, Florida area. I will also try to find a picture of him now and a picture of him in the late eighties. Stay tuned.
